Wow! I felt like someone was writing what i saw, heard, and experienced as it happened back then. I could relate because of how the drug epidemic affected so many lives here in DC and to top it off, it was a reliving of times from the perspective of someone who was 'In The Life' and the reader. Ready for Part 2
Most people that write urban lit write it from what they've heard but Mr. Branch has really lived this life so it gives the book a much more realistic feel and credibility. A real story from real experience
Great story action infused and a good pace. The main characters are developed and you emote with them as they traverse their path. Intelligent where it’s needed and hilly where it has to be. A great read! Waiting on PT2 I know may take some time but don’t leave us out here waiting too long. - Ty S.
